ONE LOVE NUTRIFEST BENEFITS CURLEY’S HOUSE
MIAMI, FL, FEBRUARY 22, 2012: Curley’s House of Style, Incorporated/Hope Relief Food Bank is very grateful for the community support given at the One Love Nutrifest held at Grand Central Park in downtown Miami, Florida on Saturday, February 18. The event was sponsored by Rockaz MVMT and Budweiser. In addition to the event providing a fun filled day of social consciousness, community and environmental awareness on a musical platform, the event had an urgent humanitarian effort to fight poverty and feed the hungry that benefitted Curley’s House. Curley’s House was able to secure two tons of food and five thousand dollars to help further its mission of providing food, clothing and a variety of services for low to moderate income individuals and families in the local community. With the support of Our Destiny we were able to register people to vote, HIV, Health Screenings, and placed three jobs. Also, the event sparked new people who were interested in volunteering and providing other support to Curley’s House. During these times of high unemployment and a greater increase of residents experiencing food insecurity, Curley’s House expresses its sincere appreciation to the leaders and staff of Rockaz MVMT and the event patrons who gave to support the worthy cause.
